Craft Exhibition Design
The 2017 RDS Craft Awards had a new identity, designed as part of Workgroup's overhaul of the RDS monolithic brand. For the exhibition this required the new identity be applied to the exiting standards for the popular show, the biggest of its kind in Ireland.
Wall graphics, way signage, promotional literature, the exhibition catalogue, exhibitors certificates, a labelling system and more required design. It's a lovely challenge, a nice big thing to get stuck in for a few weeks.
The design emphasis, due to the varied audience, is on ease of use and directness. Type is large enough for all to read, everything is functional and overall has a purity to it.
