As a designer you can't just have a wedding invite. Your wife would never forgive you.
We hand-printed these on a single colour screen together. The size is huge for an invite - approximately 450mmx600mm.
Both the invites and the thank-yous were printed on parchment coloured hand-made italian papers.
The poster hangs around the device of the shared 8 with one text beginning with my wife's name and one with mine. This incoporated both families coming together. As the poster/invite is rotated we see the 8 on its side forming the infinity symbol.
In the close-ups you can see some of the letter-tailoring I did. The double R was the first change with the first R sliding in under a superscripted second R. The F in 'Of' sits in the counter of the O which is a device Eric Gill derived from Roman Engravings.
Due to the size of these they were sent out rolled up in tubes.
I now get to see my work on the walls whenevr I visit relatives.
