What Might Have Been

August 29th, 2008

All I have been posting here is, I suppose, a series of cases of what-might-have-beens. That said, this is the one I was most gutted about. The logo was for Cow’s Lane Fashion Market and the idea was simple – the origin of the letter A as an upside down heifer’s head. The version here is not the properly typeset version but just represents the idea. I looked forward to the execution and having HUGE As everywhere.

My two favourite parts of it were that the N, S, E & W were all together like a jumbled compass and that it kind of read like it said “any fashion market” (N E Fashion Market)

Free Ambient MP3s!

August 28th, 2008

This was a major Lost Cause for me. A few years ago I wrote a few pieces of ambient electronic music. I have no grounding in music and little or no understanding of it beyond an unsophisticated appreciation. As a result I have been reluctant to “show” these pieces. I will put them up on A Worthy Cause over the next week, as long as I can get over my abiding sense of musical inferiority. They are collected under the name Silent Memories.

Ronan

A graphic designer, who has little spare time but uses it cycling, taking photos, drawing, being a dad, talking shite. A list which is of course in no particular order (so as not to offend anyone)
Incidentally this is an aside from A Worthy Cause which is Lovely Ronan's Nom de Plume.
