These bookcovers are a sample of the work I did for Sitric Books and Lilliput Press.
First up is Winter Bayou. I made the title from a violin string, shot and developed the photograph.
Next is Revolutions. The book is set in the expat Cuban community in Florida. For this I painted a mural, in a naive style akin to Cuban Cigar Box art.
Lastly is GAAY which features me in my own piece looking as buff as I can.
These jobs offered great latitude in ways of working.
I invested a lot of time and energy into making these covers different to your usual overlaid, photoshopped clip-art which adorns so many covers. All the works are fiction.
These were also done as part of my work as one half of the entire CLAW Design team.
