The History of A Worthy Cause

A Worthy Cause has been trading since 2002, when it was opened as a niche clothing label for the Irish Mountainbiking scene. Since then the tshirt screenprinting press has fallen quiet as other work, primarily for the Irish Arts scene, has taken over.

For its first few years of existence A Worthy Cause ran alongside my partnership in CLAW Design, as an outlet for personal projects. Since the closing of CLAW, I have maintained A Worthy Cause for nixers while working in another design studio. Currently though I am starting to grow this frelance business.

My Personal Experience

I graduated from NCAD in 2001 to go on to:

• Medical graphic design
• Magazine design

From there I became a partner in CLAW Design:

• Magazine art direction
• Custom type design
• Book Design
• Promotional design (poster, flyers, packaging)
• Web Design

Currently work includes anything from above and more:

• Web design (currently the largest part of my work)
• Annual report design
• Tender process design
• Signage design
• Corporate communications
• Content Management Systems installation

You know the saying "All work and no play..." Well, this is play, of a kind.

I write, a lot. I maintain a self-deprecatingly verbose site on diverse topics such as history, art, science, society, cycling, religion and food.

I am in my early thirties, married, with one son and resident in North Dublin. I am, of course, strikingly attractive. And prone to exaggeration.
